LONG ISLAND, N.Y., May 31, 2001 – e-LITE Think Tank, an independent educational and research organization dedicated to advancing knowledge and thought leadership in e-learning, has recently published three white papers on methods and techniques to help businesses best implement e-learning initiatives to achieve companies’ overall business goals.

The most recent white paper, “Creating and Sustaining a Company Consensus on Your e-Learning Goals,” was presented at the Web-Based Training Producer Conference & Expo by e-LITE co-founder Ara Ohanian, CEO of Vuepoint, a comprehensive e-learning company with a business-savvy approach. The paper discusses the process for establishing e-learning goals and gaining company-wide support for those initiatives as it provides a road map for pulling together the necessary consensus for success.

“e-LITE members gather to share insights on the most effective ways corporations can maximize their intelligence,” said Mr. Ohanian. “We founded the group to help companies reap tangible, significant business benefits from e-learning.  Publishing white papers is one of the channels we use to share these experiences and knowledge.”

e-LITE has also published “Critical Chain Learning,” which examines the value of educating partners, customers and consumers and argues that among the many advantages a corporation can achieve by training those outside its workforce are lowered costs as well as increased effectiveness and faster diffusion of messages. Another white paper, “How to Keep e-Learners from e-Scaping,” addresses improving motivation and combating attrition by getting to know learners, matching values to motives and planning incentives. The white papers can be accessed in June from Vuepoint’s Web site at www.vuepoint.com/whitepapers.asp.

e-LITE (electronic-Learning Incites Teaching Excellence) was co-founded by Mr. Ohanian along with Bill Knapp, Senior Manager Global Education at Deloitte Consulting, and James Moshinskie, Ph.D., professor and director of the Corporate E-Learning Center at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Since then, 15 major organizations, including Motorola University, Siemens Werner Schule, Carlson Marketing Group, BSI Consulting and A.T. Kearney, have joined for the betterment of e-learning in their companies and the industry as a whole. e-LITE members meet once a week to discuss issues for developing e-learning solutions that engage, educate and inspire learners with the goal of increased knowledge and improved performance for individuals and businesses.
